I am completely clueless as to why that isn't burning his hands.
Anybody got an explanation?
The answer is in this digg reply .
Basically there is more that you need to know than just soaking a ball of tighly-bound cotton and lighting it on fire.
hello to everybody!
if you consider trying this out, please make sure you do it outside, or at least in an environment with no carpet an no furniture the ball colud run under.
mine fell down lots of times, cause it ain´t that easy to hold it like shown in the video. and a ball likes to roll around.^^
although i thought i am kinda trained in handling firy things, i burned my hand a bit.
better go outside.
better use fireproof gloves.
dont make the ball too big, the smaller the less dangerous.
keep a fireextinguisher, or a bucket of water in near range.
Theory - the lighter fluid evaporates, rises up, meets the live flame and burns; so long as you don't actually touch the flame, you don't get burnt.
Practice? Don't know, I don't have enough faith in the science to try this out!
Argh video no longer hosted :-/
